Herno, the success story of an Italian brand

Founded in 1958, Herno takes its name from the river that runs through Lesa, an Italian municipality in the province of Novara, overlooking the Piedmontese shore of Lake Maggiore; the "H" is added for a more international vision of the brand, a vision that was certainly realized. The company began its journey thanks to an idea by Giuseppe Marenzi and his wife Alessandra Diana, who sensed the possibility of creating something powerful and original from cotton treated with castor oil from war-disused airplanes. This is how the desire to produce men's raincoats was born, and right from the start, the brand became recognizable, thanks to the extremely high quality of the fabrics and the attention to detail and garment cuts. Today, Herno is distinguished not only for its trench coats and coats but also for its down jackets, ensuring both warmth and elegance.

Herno: craftsmanship excellence meets fabric innovation

Herno's production has always focused on men's outerwear garments, standing out for the high quality of these items. In recent years, the company has concentrated on researching innovative fabrics and the excellence of manufacturing techniques while remaining faithful to the value of craftsmanship. The classic trench coat is a must, offered in sand and black tones, which for Herno are a true homage to the history of the garment as well as to the origins of the brand itself, which has been working since 1948 to offer increasingly beautiful garments of this type made from ever more innovative materials. Classic double-breasted closure, a slit at the back, and a notch lapel.
The strictest rules for the trench coat that knows how to tell its own story and the man who wears it. But Herno also thinks of those who want to combine tradition with modernity, and it does so with a short trench coat, in light military tones. Regular fit, it shapes the silhouette softly and satisfies a rigorous yet playful taste.

Coats: classicism and elegance

The colors are predominantly neutral, emphasizing the elegance of the man who chooses Herno: ranging from navy blue to black, and blue, to the ice shades for laminated carcoats. Herno's coat designs are modern yet minimalist, traditional and legendary: because, as Herno says in making the coat 'speak': "fashions come and go, but I remain in every man's life, even more high-performing and immortal through generations."

Herno down jacket: iconic and warm

In Herno men's down jackets, it can truly be said that tailoring meets inspiration. Regular fit, elegance even in the brightest colours, sartorial finishes: the men's down jacket, bearing the Herno signature, is synonymous with elegance, history, and character. The bomber made in the iconic gloss fabric remains one of Herno's most beloved items, and this year the brand offers it in fluorescent yellow tones to perfectly blend the regularity of the garment with an unconventional colour. In the new capsule collection, the bomber also features an original yet elegant print, in shades of turquoise, beige, white, and green for a balanced and playful palette, but never too much. Among the most elegant models, we certainly find the blazers, offered in nuage and nylon, with a hoodie or with monogram details: class and creativity come together in a single garment, expressing all its exclusivity in the colours chosen by Herno, from white to gray to black. Among the more sporty pieces, finally, we have nylon vests or those in cashmere and silk: delicate in turquoise, bold in navy blue.
